Troubleshooting

If you encounter this problem try one of the following:

  1. Make sure you are on a laptop or computer; the trainings do not work on tablets, iPads, or smart phones.
  2. Try using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for your browser — some students use Internet Explorer and that browser doesn't work really well with the program.
  3. Make sure your Java and/or Flash player are up to date.
  4. If none of these options fix your problem, there is technical support from OSU Student Health.

You've come to Oregon State University to study, work, and make connections that will influence the rest of your professional life.

The topics covered in our required online trainings are not limited to your life at school and can impact anyone, anywhere, regardless of student status.

All OSU students are part of our campus community — you too can play a role in creating environments that are healthy, safe, and welcoming.

If you experience technical difficulties, please complete a help ticket. Your message will be answered as quickly as possible.

Sexual Assault Prevention

What is this training?

Sexual Assault Prevention is an interactive course that addresses the critical issues of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking —specifically on college campuses.

The course encourages students to reflect on their personal values when it comes to relationships; uses scenarios from diverse perspectives to provide a relevant and inclusive experience; challenges harmful and demeaning language and attitudes; and provides guidance for supporting a friend who may have experienced sexual violence.

Why do I have to take this course?

Oregon State University's goal is to make all OSU students aware of how sexual violence is perpetrated and also provide students with an understand on how to prevent it. As a community, it is important that we have these conversations.

All OSU students are part of our university community, and therefore part of the change that we seek to initiate with this online course. This required training is one of many ways we are working to creating a healthy, safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

Hazing Prevention

What is this training?

Hazing Awareness and Prevention is an engaging, interactive online course designed to help students understand what hazing is, why it’s harmful, and how to prevent it. Through examples, scenarios, and reflection activities, you’ll learn how to recognize the signs of hazing, understand its short- and long-term impacts, and respond safely if it occurs. The course also encourages you to reflect on your personal values and explore positive ways to build community, belonging, and trust without harmful or exclusionary practices.

Why do I have to take this training?

Oregon State University is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. Hazing prevention requires active participation from all members of our community. This required training equips you with the knowledge and tools to help create a culture of respect and accountability, so that every student can fully participate in campus life without fear of harm or intimidation. By completing this course, you’re contributing to OSU’s shared commitment to a healthy, welcoming community for everyone.

Alcohol and Other Drugs

What is this training?

Alcohol and Other Drugs is an interactive course that focuses on the impact alcohol has on your wellness, academic success, and personal development.

This course empowers students to make well-informed decisions about alcohol, including how to recognize and respond to an alcohol-related emergency.

This program is not a lecture or a “just say no” program, but rather a program that gives you the information you need to be safe and make informed choices with alcohol.

Why do I have to take this training?

Whether you choose to drink or not, the reality is that you will encounter alcohol at some point during your time at Oregon State University in some capacity.

This required training helps students understand the effects alcohol can have on individuals as well as our community in order to foster a safe, healthy, and welcoming community.
