The SHS Travel Clinic serves students, faculty and staff who are traveling abroad.

Pre-travel consultations are specific to your health history, destination, potential activities, and the health and safety issues of the destination. Our goal is to help you stay safe and healthy during your trip so you can enjoy your experience to the fullest extent.

As part of your trip planning, please review the University's new International Travel Policy and remember to enter your itinerary in the new International Travel Registry.

Scheduling

Schedule an appointment with a travel nurse by calling 541-737-WELL (9355). Please schedule early! Our appointments fill quickly and some immunizations are given in a series that requires time.

  • For Students, travel consults are generally 40-60 minutes depending on one’s travel itinerary and medical history. The fee for a Travel Clinic consult is $50 plus the cost of any immunizations that are administered by SHS.  Additional appointments with a clinician if appropriate or desired, may be arranged.
  • OSU faculty and staff who have work-related travel to countries outside of the U.S. should schedule pre-travel consultation services with Occupational Medicine at 541-737-7566 or email.

Follow-up care

In the event that you become ill while traveling or up to a year after you return from your trip, seek care with a clinician and inform them of your history. If you are still a student, you can be scheduled at SHS.
