Eclipse hours and services

Student Health Services will be open for urgent care only from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. August 21st. The pharmacy will be open 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. that day. Both the clinic and pharmacy will be closed August 19 -20.

Please note that the clinic and pharmacy will only be open to students. Campus visitors and community members may refer to the resources listed below. Emergency and safety information can be found here.

Health and safety tips
  • Take special care over the eclipse weekend as accessing medical care could take more time than usual.

  • Drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen and keep a first aid kit on-hand.

  • Do not look directly at the sun or the eclipse without special eclipse viewing glasses.

Regional sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) center provides immediate medical treatment to patients who have experienced sexual assault.

Sarah’s Place is a safe and private place for victims to receive resources and care. Open to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Most services are free, funded in part by Oregon State Crime Victim’s Compensation, and the annual Samaritan Employee Caring Campaign, and Samaritan Health Services. 

Additional counseling and patient support is also available. Non-emergency transportation resources for patients from the coast can be arranged as needed.
