Privacy Practices
Confidentiality of all patient information is of paramount importance at Student Health Services. No information about you can be released to any third party without your written permission, with the exception that we notify the university whether a student has completed all immunizations required by law (see Immunization Requirements). Beyond the usual written consent to release confidential information, additional authorization by the patient is required to release information about HIV tests and drug or alcohol treatment. For more information about your right to strict confidentiality, see Patient Rights and Responsibilities.
The patient medical profile is completely confidential. In addition, a printout of prescriptions filled at the Student Health Services Pharmacy will be done only by written consent of the patient.
