With a vision to create a safe and supportive living and learning environment, the Prevention team strives to ensure students can thrive in a community free of violence and high-risk alcohol and other drug use.
The Prevention team at SHS is committed to advancing the health, wellness and academic success of our students through:
- Prevention of high-risk alcohol use and illicit/harmful drug use, to include population-level prevention.
- Prevention of sexual assault, interpersonal violence, stalking, hazing, bullying, and other forms of violence.
- Directing early intervention for students with indicated needs through the IMPACT program.
- Supporting students who are in active recovery from addiction through the Collegiate Recovery Community.
