IMPACT

IMPACT Programs are made available to all students, specifically those students who have been sanctioned by the Residence Hall system, Office of Student Conduct,Corvallis Municipal court, the Benton County Circuit Court, the City Attorney's office, or other off-campus referral source.

IMPACT is a program designed for OSU Students to engage in a focused and meaningful discussion about alcohol or other substance use. Upon completion of the IMPACT Program, students will have a foundational understanding of: 1) alcohol or marijuana and their effects on the body, 2) myths and realities associated with substance induced effects, 3) skills to limit the amount of negative ramifications that can be associated with underage and excessive alcohol use or other substance use.

Overall, the IMPACT Program is guided by the mission of Oregon State University and is committed to stimulate a lasting attitude of inquiry, openness, and social responsibility. The IMPACT program offers multiple levels of intervention for students as based on their need and reason for referral. All students engage in a brief assessment with an IMPACT program staff member and are placed into the appropriate intervention.
