What is Wellness Coaching?

Wellness coaching is a free service for OSU students that offers support for navigating transitions and overcoming challenges.

Our coaches empower and help you:
  • Focus on your strengths and values.
  • Work towards personal, meaningful goals.
  • Identify resources that help you get where you want to go.
  • Build on what's working in your life rather than getting stuck on what's not.
  • Take steps toward becoming the person you want to be.

Certified Wellness Coach

Meet one on one with a professional faculty-certified wellness coach for a 50-minute in-person or zoom session.

Student Peer Wellness Coach

Meet one on one with a student peer wellness coach for a 50-minute in-person or zoom session.

Meet in-person with a small group of your peers for a 50-minute facilitated session.

Wellness Coaching Process - First Appointment

Meet with your coach to: 

  • Establish areas of wellness for coaching.
  • Review character strengths profile.
  • Create long and short term goals.
  • Explore possible resources.
  • Define next steps.

Wellness Coaching Process - Follow Up Appointments

 

Follow-up appointments are unlimited and can be scheduled at your convenience.

At follow up appointment you will work with your coach to:

  • Review progress towards weekly goals.
  • Celebrate success.
  • Discuss barriers to progress and possible solutions.
  • Review character strengths.
  • Explore possible resources.
  • Set weekly goals and next steps.

Wellness Coaching seeks to provide a process you can replicate on your own to achieve goals and advocate for your own wellbeing.
