Family Planning Project

The goal of the Family Planning Project (FPP) is to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies in Oregon by ensuring that the family planning services better meet the needs of low-income women and men.

The Oregon Health Division obtained Medicaid funding to increase access to family planning services and reduce unintended pregnancy among low-income individuals.

If you qualify, FPP will pay Oregon State University Student Health Services (SHS) for covered services and you will not be billed. SHS providers will help you find the birth control method that best meets your needs.

If you qualify, FPP will provide the following services at no cost to you:

Contraceptive Management:

  • Contraceptive management visits related to starting or continuing contraceptive care
  • Annual exams, including pap smear
  • Family planning counseling and info
  • Follow-up help, if needed

Contraceptive Methods Available:
