About the Answer Spot

The Answer Spot is a feature of Student Health Services' (SHS) web site that enables you to ask health question anonymously. It is designed to assist readers in making informed decisions about all aspects of their health by providing non-judgmental, science-based responses to their questions. Any sincere, respectful health-related question is welcome.

Questions can be submitted anonymously because SHS does not use technology that enables us to identify the computer from which a web-based question is submitted (the "IP Address"). Responses are posted to The Answer Spot website and are written by staff of the Health Promotion Department at SHS.

Responses to your questions are not guaranteed due to limited time and staff resources. Many questions have already been answered. Please scan the category of your interest before asking.

The AnswerSPOT was redesigned on October 30th, 2004. Not all of the older questions were saved in the new release. To view the archived system, go to http://studenthealth.oregonstate.edu/answerspot-old.
