Alcohol & Other Drugs: Testing and Metabolism

Due to the large volume of questions Spot receives about drug testing, it has be come necessary that we only answer questions if they differ substantively from the information provided below. Spot will only answer your question specifically if there is any element of it that cannot be answered by the information provided on this page. Drug Testing for Nicotine, Cocaine, Amphetamine, Methamphetamine, Crack or Crank

As with marijuana, there are no specific formulas that will provide an answer for how long it takes to be clean from any of these stimulant drugs. There are only guidelines and, as with THC, even the guidelines are somewhat arbritrary. When Spot answers a specific question about how long it takes to be clean after a given amount of use, it's only an educated guess. You can make that guess just as easily as Spot can, using the guidelines below:

Your system is likely to be clear of nicotine, cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, crack or crank in two to three days if one or more of the following applies:

  • you are an occasional user
  • when you use, you use a small or moderate amount of drug (e.g., one or two lines, etc.)
  • your history of using the drug is less than six months

Your system is likely to be clear of nicotine, cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, crack or crank in three to five days if one or more of the following applies:

  • you use once or twice a week
  • when you use, you use a moderate to large amount of drug
  • your history of using is greater than six months

Your system is likely to be clear of nicotine, cocaine, amphetamine, methamphetamine, crack or crank in five to ten days if one or more of the following applies:

  • you use most days of the week
  • when you use, you use a moderate to large amount of drug
  • your history of using is greater than one year
