Drug Testing for Marijuana Unfortunately, there is no formula to compute how long it takes a person to rid their system of THC, the active and detectable ingredient in marijuana. There are only guidelines and even they are somewhat arbritrary. When Spot answers a specific question about how long it takes to be clean after a given amount of use, it's only an educated guess. You can make that guess just as easily as Spot can, using the guidelines below: Your system is likely to be clear of THC after ten days if one or more of the following applies:

There is nothing you can do to hasten the metabolism of THC! Not drinking lots of water, no special teas or vitamin formulas.
